    I work from an evidence-based philosophy using therapies which are supported by science (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy).

    I like to take a strengths-based approach, by assisting clients to identify the helpful knowledge, personal assets, and coping resources they already have. And then help grow and add to these.

    I aim to have therapy be an inspiring and energising experience

    I enjoy adding creative and personalised elements to treatment plans.

    The beliefs that inform my approach:

    • Change is possible.
    • Change involves helping clients to accept painful reality AND to learn new ways of coping.
    • We can improve how we respond to painful events and to the world. We can’t control the world.

    Ultimately change comes down to doing, not talking.

    Being clear about our core values and using them to guide our life choices helps us to live fulfilling lives.

    Connectedness to others is essential to a satisfying life.
